Each year, CAE in Burgess Hill, choose a charity to support.
Employee Ian Cheese, who lives in Brighton, nominated SHS. Ian cycles past the buses each day on his way to work. He was moved by what he saw and nominated our charity – CAE staff voted overwhelmingly to support his proposal.
CAE will support Sussex Homeless Support throughout the 2019/2020 year, ending in March 2020. Their support started in April 2019 and they pay over the money they raise for SHS in quarterly amounts. The incredible sum of £943.31 is the amount raised in the first quarter.
The money has been raised through many different types of events and fundraisers since April 2019, including quiz nights, litter picks, St George’s Day afternoon tea, book club, simulator demonstrations etc. Additionally they are also running several clothing donation stations onsite, which are proving extremely successful.
We’ll keep you updated with what is raised during the rest of the year but this is an amazing boost to our funds.
Sussex Homeless Support would like to thank CAE, their staff and Ian Cheese for their incredible support. As a charity surviving on donations alone, we couldn’t continue our work without support like this.
THANK YOU ALL.
