Merry Maids Society are a group of ladies from the Brighton & Hove area, who meet on a regular basis.
To celebrate International Women’s Day on March 8th, they organised a lunch with a guest speaker and held an auction. Lillian Harrop, one of the SHS volunteers is a member of this group and she nominated the SHS women’s bus as the beneficiary of the money raised that day.
The staggering sum of £1,200 will go towards the cost of insulation, construction of six bunk beds, the purchase of mattresses, pillows, duvets, curtains and a shower unit area on the women’s bus.
