We are delighted to say that our 2019 Sussex Homeless Support Fundraising Auction , which ended on Thursday, March 14th, 2019 has raised the amazing sum of £3,263.
We had 79 incredible ‘lots’ donated to us.
This is our second year of running this highly successful auction, raising much needed funds for the charity and its work.
‘Lots’ were donated by businesses and individuals throughout Sussex – there was something for everyone, from a signed copy of a book, to a hamper from Infinity Foods, tea for 2 in Somers of Lindfield, a piece of stained glass artwork, a family photo session, a beautiful patchwork blanket, Thai cookery lesson with ‘get-started’, and Italian cookery lesson with Kitchen Lingo, a haircut and blow-dry at Gorgeous of Hove, a reiki session with Anita Kate, velvet cushions and a footstool from Carzana Interiors, a ticket for Legends Live at the Brighton Centre, a one day taster session with Latest TV to learn TV skills, a dog grooming session with Top Coats of Hove and from our champion supporters, the Levellers, 2 camping event tickets to their ‘Beautiful Days Festival’ in Devon, with an amazing musical line up. Plus so many more.
One of our favourites, was the chance to bid ‘for a touch of immortality’, Nils Visser & Cair Going, authors of ‘On Brighton Streets’, a story loosely based around Sussex Homeless Support, are writing the sequel and the winning bidder will have their character, or a character of their choice, written into the book.
Every penny raised will go to support the work of Sussex Homeless Support.
We would like to thank everyone who bid on and donated to this auction. We couldn’t have achieved this without you.
