Sussex Homeless Support volunteer Amy Smith ran the Brighton Half Marathon on Sunday, 24th February 2019, to raise funds for SHS. Amy’s initial target was to raise £150 but she achieved an amazing £660 in sponsorship. Well done and thank you Amy from everyone at SHS.
Lloyd Russell-Moyle helps out at the Street Kitchen. We were delighted to be joined by local MP Lloyd Russell-Moyle at our street kitchen on Sunday 28th October. Lloyd is a great supporter of SHS and champions the cause of the homeless.
An opportunity to see what life was like for a homeless person, by spending a night on the streets. We raised awareness, gained support and publicity for our work. Thanks go to Fat Boy Slim and Hove Lagoon for supporting this. We hope to make this an annual event, so watch this space …..
AXA Insurance run an annual corporate responsibility fund. This year Sussex Homeless Support were fortunate to receive one of the four prizes for the south east. Giorgio Finella, SHS volunteer and AXA employee, presented Jim with a cheque for £500. If your company runs a corporate responsibility fund, please think of SHS.
In August 2018, the Levellers held their Beautiful Days festival at Escot Park in Devon and raised almost £5,000 for us.
